The FWR Group Pty. Ltd. staff represent over 40 years in consulting, professional and technical services in sustainable development, business strategy, policy development, environmental protection, risk analysis, engineering, planning and education. As a growing company we only recruit the 'bright stars' in their field and have a pathways program in place that allows us to work with territary institutions to bring undergradutes and gradute students into the growing sustainability sector through our company.

Mike has a background in education, training, business and sustainable development. In his capacity as Managing Director, Mike guides the strategic direction and day to day management of FWR Group Pty. Ltd. in addition to his involvement in quality and project management. As a business leader, Mike:
• Co-Manages a multi-faceted Team of part-time and full-time consultants;
• Develops business, strategic, marketing, and financial plans;
• Coordinates the development through to implementation of successful projects;
• Coordinates and manages various project teams and staff interaction/development;
• Facilitates the strategic development of business visions, missions and goals; and,
• Developes innovative projects and initiatives in the areas of education, the environment,
and sustainability.
Michael (Mike) Duggan, Managing Director
Michael brings to the FWR Group Team his background in environmental and sustainability consulting, policy development, and strategic planning, supported by his considerable experience in providing advice, assessment, and consultation to facilitate sustainable outcomes for business and the urban development industry.
Michael has also worked with a number of State and Local Government agencies in Queensland, furthering sustainable development through identifying barriers and constraints, devising strategies and policies, coordinating partnerships, and engaging stakeholders. As a leader in his field, Michael represents the internationally recognised global sustainability group, AtKisson Inc. (www.atkisson.com) lead by Alan AtKisson, a world renowned exponent and author in sustainability. Michael is an AtKisson Associate (for Australia/NZ).
Michael O'Brien, Technical Director
Luke brings his experience in the urban development sector from both the perspective of an engineer, and a development manager. Having been part of The Natural Edge Project (www.naturaledgeproject.net), Luke has substantial experience in sustainability from an engineering and education perspective, and has a practical “no nonsense” approach to assisting our clients. Luke is heavily involved in our work for the ACT Land Development Agency, and in identifying and developing business opportunities for FWR Group through his extensive networks.
He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Environment and Sustainability) and is a former member of the Australian Green Development Forum Board of Directors.
Luke Whistler , Partner/Project Manager
Amelia comes to the FWR team as a Sustainability Consultant, having graduated from University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Environmental Management, majoring in Sustainable Development. Her professional experience includes providing project assistance to the QLD Solar Schools Program, implemented by Education Queensland. In undertaking her studies, she completed a Sustainability & Environment Performance Audit for Tangalooma Island Resort, and prepared the Sustainability Brief for a group project to retrofit the School of Architecture Co-Lab.
Amelia provides technical and project management assistance for FWR Group across our entire suite of projects, and brings enthusiasm, knowledge and a desire to actively contribute to sustainable development outcomes.
Amelia Phillips, Sustainability Consultant
Virginia joined FWR in early 2010 as part of her Industrial Placement to complete a dual degree in Environmental Management (Sustainable Development) and Law at the University of Queensland. Virginia has experience with various non-profit organisations and student groups, communicating with small businesses and has conducted studies on green marketing within the tourism industry.
In the short time she has been with the FWR Team, Virginia has provided valuable project assistance in developing our education for sustainability tools, and in setting up the Capalaba Business Improvement District Greenbiz cluster.
Virginia Barrios , Project Officer/Research Assistant

Jaime joined the FWR team in 2009, with background studies in marketing and communications, as well as studying in Environmental Management (Sustainability) at the University of Queensland.
Jaime provides valuable project assistance as well as being an enthusiastic member of the FWR Team. She has assisted in background research and project planning for our Greening the Real Estate Industry project, and has provided support for our work with the ACT Land Development Agency Molonglo Sustainability Strategy.
