Ebenezer Regional Industrial Area Structure Plan
The success of Ebenezer will be reliant upon a range of ‘quadruple’ bottom line factors, ranging from economic, environmental, social strategies to governance. Balancing these factors will lead to a world best practice example. However, most importantly, it will mean that the future of SEQ and
its residents is supported by a robust employment and innovation corridor.
To contribute towards the future of SEQ, Ebenezer must be based on practical, innovative, and robust strategies for:
- Economic viability
- Sustainable development
- Movement and accessibility
- Urban design and high quality built form
- Integrated water cycle management
- Water security
- Energy efficiency, renewal, and availability
- Communications technology
- Waste stream management and disposal
- Systems management
- Environmental outcomes
- Community building
- Infrastructure delivery
- Staging and sequencing
- Measuring delivery of sustainability
- Collaboration and engagement
The Western Corridor, specifically the Ipswich City Council local government area has continued to grow, and is acknowledged in the South East Queensland Regional Plan as being playing a
key role in providing the housing and employment for the fast growing population of South East Queensland. The Western Corridor is key to Queensland's strategic intentions for settlement patterns, and is expected to undergo significant
changes in development and growth in the near future.
